At Entsika Foundation, we build, renovate, and maintain the physical spaces that anchor our communities — from schools and housing to churches and care centres. We invest in the foundations that enable long-term growth, working closely with community leaders to deliver projects that create lasting value. Every brick we lay is a step towards a stronger, more resilient community.
We believe that it is our collective responsibility to ensure that we better the lives of future leaders and empower them to become the pillars of our society. We strive to contribute towards alleviating poverty in South Africa through interventions that are sustainable. Our interventions usher change in society through mentorship and supporting young people.
To these ends, we embrace social development, not because we are compelled to, rather because we are driven by a desire to make a difference.
We are committed to rebuilding and developing our society to make a long-lasting impact.
The late Principal of Khula High School, Mr. Sandile Nxumalo, was a visionary leader and was very passionate about the holistic development of learners. He launched a few initiatives to upgrade the school facilities.
One of his ground-breaking initiatives was building a school hall with 2,500 seats that would serve the school and community. He began this project 12 years ago with little assistance and contributions from parents. Although he had hoped to finish this project before his retirement in August 2021, sadly, he lost his life to COVID-19 in February 2021.
Entsika has pledged its monetary support to the school to the value of R500 000.00 (five hundred thousand rands) towards the completion of the school hall. Furthermore, Entsika will provide professional project management services, including monitoring and evaluation, depending on the needs stated by the School’s Infrastructure Committee.
The building of the school hall is of utmost importance as it will function as a matric examination center and a space for the school’s social and extramural programs. The school currently uses a community hall, which is far from the school and can only accommodate 300 people, which is inadequate for the 1052 learners enrolled at the school.
Entsika Foundation adopted Lesedi Pathways in 2018, a centre for children living with disabilities located in Allemansdrift, Mpumalanga. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy learning environment that is free from physical, legal, and attitudinal barriers. The centre also offers work-related and enrichment training to create job opportunities for beneficiaries. Entsika has secured land from the local municipality to build a new special needs Centre for Lesedi Pathways, with construction plans already completed. We continue to support the centre with stipends for volunteers, teacher upskilling, food supplies, and other essential needs. We also helped establish a successful beading project, which generates extra income to sustain the centre.

One of the core objectives of Entsika Foundation is to build schools in previously disadvantaged areas and provide access to ICT resources in rural areas. To improve computer literacy and internet access in rural schools, Entsika Foundation has built an early childhood development centre in KwaZulu Natal. The Centre is used for computer literacy training and internet access to pupils from the Obanjeni primary school from grade R to four. The Foundation provided the school with learning material, computers and iPads.
